THE CLIENT: Known for inspiring creativity, ingenious know-how, and transformative guest experiences, FORREC Ltd., a Toronto-based design firm, brings extensive expertise in strategy, planning, and design for location-based entertainment including theme parks, water parks, visitor attractions, resorts, and mixed-use developments.
THE PROJECT: Drawing from the company’s strong foundation in immersive storytelling, this office space refresh focused on key interior spaces: the meeting rooms, the boardroom, and the kitchen; drawing inspiration from the historical significance of the building, formerly the Sunbeam Incandescent Lamp Company headquarters in Toronto’s Liberty Village.
Archival materials from the Ontario Archives, including maps, phone book records, and historical documents, were remixed into a cohesive visual system, to reflect the unique heritage of the building while integrating the current in-house departments. The final designs were unified through FORREC’s corporate colour palette, integrating local history into a modern, brand-aligned workspace.
The designs were brought to life as custom wallpaper and vinyl decals, and transformed the otherwise corporate spaces into immersive storytelling environments that reflect the company’s creative spirit and historical roots.
