THE CLIENT: Restaurant Brands International (RBI) is one of the world’s largest quick service restaurant companies, with a global presence of over 32,000 restaurants across 120+ countries. Its portfolio includes iconic brands such as Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs. Each brand operates independently and has a longstanding history of serving guests, franchisees, and communities.
THE PROJECT: The 2019 Tim Hortons Owners Convention brought together franchisees to explore the future of the brand, with a strong emphasis on digital innovation and community initiatives. The event highlighted advancements in POS technology, mobile apps, loyalty programs, and digital signage, while also launching the 2019–20 Upper Deck hockey card collection and promoting campaigns like the Smile Cookie. As part of the event experience, I designed a 60+ foot bilingual timeline infographic, featured on a main exhibit wall.
Showcasing the brand’s journey from its founding in 1964 to present day, the piece combined illustration, archival photography, and textured graphic elements in a cohesive photo-composited style. Designed to reflect both English and French audiences, the timeline highlighted major brand milestones and was created to inspire franchisees while reinforcing Tim Hortons' legacy and forward momentum during this digitally focused, brand-driven event.
